Dear Patients,

First and foremost I want to express my deepest gratitude and thanks for your trust in and support of Soulsmile, my family and team. For many years I dreamed of building a practice where a sincere connection with patients, where their desires were first and foremost and felt by all. Thank you so much for allowing us to realize our dream.

And so it is with mixed emotions that I am writing this letter to inform you that I am taking a working sabbatical of sorts to step away from management in favor of focusing on my family and our adventures. I’ll be helping an exceptional and growing family practice on the central coast of California and leaving Soulsmile in the most capable of hands.

I am thrilled to have found the perfect successor to lead Soulsmile. Dr. Daniel DeCillis and his entire family came to visit Ashland and Soulsmile this winter. His father is a retiring dentist and mother a retiring hygienist from the South Carolina. He is joined by his vivacious wife and fun-loving 2-year-old son. They are an amazing family and we have enjoyed their visits immensely.

Dr. DeCillis not only benefits from the incomparable experiences passed through the generations, but has taken it even further by receiving advanced training in caring for anxious patients, pediatric patients, surgery, implants and IV sedation. These are the precise areas of practice that will benefit Sousmile patients and the Ashland community the most. In addition, he has a wonderful, laid-back disposition that patients will appreciate. Lastly, he is intelligent, calm, focused and direct in his manner - qualities that I believe will instil confidence in our patients. I personally admire his traits and his expertise.

My prediction is that Dr. DeCillis will be known as the preeminent dentist in the Rogue Valley within the next 3 years. And so it is with pleasure that I introduce you to him.

Becca, Siena and Lily all will remain with Soulsmile.  Like me, they believe in Dr. DeCillis and the continuation of pursuing modern dentistry with classic values. As for me, I remain at your service for opinions, reassurance, support and friendship. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

I wish for you the very best.

Warmest regards,

(aka Dr. Aron Kivel)
