We are excited to bring you the first in a video series on the dental implant process. Soulsmile's own team member, Ryann, is about to go through the dental implant process and taking you through her journey step-by-step. Dr. Kivel has the restoration portion of the implant covered, but because it is a more complicated implant (very little bone structure in the area), we're also involving Dr. Logan from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center of Oregon. Up first is Ryann's recap of the consultation with Dr. Logan and his team regarding bone grafting and if she is eligible for a dental implant.

In the video, Ryann mentions uploading an X-ray of her sinus and future implant site. We're actually going to add the panoramic X-ray here and hoping to add some shots from the cone beam Dr. Logan's team took at her consultation soon. A dental cone beam is a special type of X-ray commonly used for more advanced oral surgery to produce three dimensional images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bone.
